Rihanna is ready for her next gig: motherhood. The singer and fashion designer revealed over the weekend that she is pregnant, expecting her first child with rapper A$AP Rocky.
The couple was spotted on a walk in New York City, during which Rihanna debuted her baby bump. Wearing a long pink coat left unbuttoned, baggy jeans, and colorful jeweled chains, the “Diamonds” singer proudly showed off her bump as they walked hand in hand.
It is unclear how far along Rihanna is in her pregnancy.
The pregnancy news comes nearly two years after a source confirmed to People that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were in fact dating after a decade of friendship. They first ignited romance rumors following her split from ex-boyfriend Hassan Jameel.
Though they’ve kept much of their relationship private, in May 2021, A$AP Rocky gushed to GQ, calling Rihanna “the one.” He said: “She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”
Neither star has spoken about the pregnancy since the photos were released, though it’s safe to assume they are thrilled to be parents. Both Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have opened up in the past about wanting children. Rihanna told British Vogue that sees herself having “three or four” in the next 10 years, so this is likely just the beginning for their growing family.
